PELÍCULAS FUTURISTAS Y SUS COMPLEMENTOS: RELOJES DEL FUTURO

Leyendo las noticias me he encontrado de manera casual con la llamativa imagen de lo que se supone que va a ser el reloj de apple, que como no se llamará iWatch. Esto me ha planteado que el tiempo pasa muy deprisa, qué paradoja e ironía, ¿verdad? Lo cierto es que he visto muchas películas donde los protagonista lucían relojes de lo más estrafalarios que poseían característica que, por lo menos, parecían de lo más inverosímiles y locas. Sin embargo, este iWatch me pone en la tesitura de reflexionar sobre el paso del tiempo: nunca imaginé que aquello que veía en películas futuristas tipo Minority Riport, Star Trek, Tron, etc, fuera a hacerse realidad tan pronto. Desde la II Revolución industrial el hombre a acelerado el paso tecnológico a marchas forzadas, como si le persiguieran, aunque de hecho era más una guerra constante entre comunistas y capitalistas. De observar las estrellas y la luna desde tierra firme pasamos a enviar sondas y a pisar nuestro más cercano satélite. Con la III Revolución Industrial, la científico-técnica hemos desarrollado nanotecnología, es decir, hemos colocado dentro de un móvil lo que antes ocupaba toda una habitación o incluso un edificio y esto permite casos como el del iWatch que se podrá conectar a Internet, podrá realizar pagos, chatear...ah sí! y dar la hora.

El cine ha sido en ocasiones un escaparate de diseños que luego hemos visto realizados en serie y vendidos a millones, el propio teléfono móvil o Internet son un buen ejemplo. No obstante y cómo decía al principio creo que el ritmo de desarrollo tecnológico está siendo demasiado elevado y cada vez es más difícil adaptarse a los cambios. A continuación os dejo algunos ejemplos de los que hablo: el primero es el reloj de Michael Knight (Fundación para la Ley y el Orden) con el que Michael llamaba a Kit, el segundo es un reloj basado en los dispositivos de Star Trek The Next Generation, el tercero/s corresponde a una imagen de modelos de relojes llevados por James Bond-007 (todos sabemos lo que eran capaces de hacer), el cuarto es un reloj basado en los tubos de condensación del Delorian que usaban en Regreso al futuro para viajar en el tiempo, el quinto es un reloj basado en la película de Kubrik 2001: Una Odisea del Espacio, el sexto es el reloj que usaba Tom Cruise en Minority Report, el séptimo es un reloj inspirado en la última entrega de Tron, y por último, los iWatch de apple, sin duda perecen sacados de cualquier peli futurista.

LOS CAMEOS DEL DIRECTOR: PETER JACKSON

Estimados colegas blogueros, con la intención de diversificar el contenido del blog más allá de las críticas, comienzo esta singladura sobre curiosidades del cine con los cameos realizados por directores, en este caso Mr. Jackson de la Tierra Media. Obviamente no descarto incluir dentro de esta categoría de curiosidades del cine otras cuestiones de carácter más o menos serio o de carácter más lúdico festivo, el tiempo lo dirá. Espero que sea de vuestro agrado y que como siempre dejéis vuestros acertados comentarios al respecto. Gracias de antemano.

La idea me surgió hace un par de días cuando acabé de ver Braindead o como la conocemos más vulgarmente en España Tu madre se ha comido a mi perro. En esta increíble obra gore (de la que por cierto, estoy preparando crítica) es muy fácil reconocer a Peter Jackson, sobre todo pasados ya casi veinte años desde su realización y con la fama del director por las nubes. Cuando vemos a Jackson en la pantalla no está ni muchos menos lejano, quiero decir que parece una persona de lo más simple y cercana a lo que podríamos denominar normal, exceptuando la fantástica visión cinematográfica que posee.

Peter Jackson posee una filomgrafía como director de 13 películas, recordemos que en estos momentos se preproducen las dos partes del El Hobbit de las que también será el máximo responsable como director, guionista y productor.  En estas trece películas Jackson aparece realizando diferentes cameos, e aquí un breve repaso:

• En Bad Taste de 1987 más que un cameo es dos de los personajes Robert y Derek.
• En Braindead de 1992 es el auxiliar bobalicón del enterrador encargado de embalsamar a la difunta madre de Lionel.
• En Criaturas celestiales de 1994 se convierte en vagabundo besuqueado por Juliet Hulme a la salida de un teatro.
• En Agárrame a esos fantasmas de 1996 es un motero al más puro estilo Hollywood, con muy palas pulgas cuando se topa con el prota M.J. Fox.
• En La Comunidad del anillo de 2001 aparece ataviado de campesino que devora zanahorias cerca de la posada y como uno de los ciudadanos de Bree.
• En Las Dos Torres de 2002 es un guardia en el Abismo de Helm con su cota de malla emulando a los Rohirrim con lanza dorada.
• En El Retorno del Rey de 2003 se transforma en el Capitán de uno de los barcos piratas de Umbar y es alcanzado por una flecha lanzada por Legolas.
• En King Kong de 2005 es uno de los bombarderos del avión que trata de tumbar a la bestia negra y ya de paso peluda.
• Y finalmente en The Lovely Bones de 2009 aparece brevemente en una farmacia.

Y hasta aquí llegamos a las participaciones meritorias de mención en las películas que el mismo ha dirigido. Cabe decir que también ha participado haciendo un cameo en Arma Fatal (Hot Fuzz) de 2007 como el ladrón vestido de Santa, lo veréis en el vídeo que os dejo de sus cameos. A parte de esto también aparece en breves momentos en su primer corto The Valley de 1976, en el corto The long and short of it de 2003 como conductor de bus y en la serie El séquito en el episodio 50 titulado Gary's Desk de 2007.

PETER JACKSON'S CAMEO

Dear fellow bloggers, with the intention to diversify the content of the blog beyond criticism, I begin this journey on film trivia with cameos made by directors in this case Mr. Jackson's Middle Earth. Obviously not rule include in this category of movie trivia other issues of a more or less serious or a more playful holiday, the time will tell. The idea came to me a couple of days ago when I finished to see Braindead or more commonly know in Spain Your mother has eaten my dog. This incredible work gore (which by the way, I am preparing critical) is very easy to recognize Peter Jackson, especially since almost twenty years past its completion and the director's fame skyrocketed. When we see Jackson on the screen is far less distant, I mean like a person as simple and close to what might be called normal, except for the film that has fantastic vision.

Peter Jackson has a filomgrafía as director of 13 films, remember that in preproduction now are the two parts of The Hobbit which also will be in charge as director, screenwriter and producer. In these thirteen films by various cameos Jackson appears, and here a short review:

• In The Fellowship of the Ring 2001 is dressed in peasant who eats carrots near the inn and as a citizen of Bree.
• In The Two Towers 2002 is a guard at Helm's Deep with his coat of mail Rohirrim emulating the golden spear.
• In The Return of the King of 2003 becomes the captain of one of the pirate ships Umbar and is reached by an arrow shot by Legolas.
• In 2005, King Kong is one of the bombers of the plane trying to take down the beast and pitch black and hairy.
• And finally in The Lovely Bones, 2009 appears briefly in a pharmacy.

And here we holdings meritorious mention in the film he has directed. It has also been involved say that doing a cameo in Hot Fuzz 2007 as the thief dressed as Santa, you will see in the video that I leave their cameos.
