"2012 (2009)" ¿TÉCTONICA DE PLACAS? ¿DERIVA CONTINENTAL?

English version:

"PLATE TECTONICS? CONTINENTAL DRIFT "? WHAT IS THAT?"

Of foreboding prophecies and the truth is that whoever else who is less tired, like the movies as being criticized, in a shameless way that most basic scientific laws are ignored until that point let alone can believe for a moment that such a cataclysm occurred on Earth. However, this criticism is not only to highlight the failures that occur with respect to scientific issues, so it must be said that leaving aside the problem the film entertaining if only to see the special effects which cities entire collapse, move or disappear under the Tsunami virulent hundreds of meters high.

The truth is that for a while now movies about disasters on a global level have a greater claim, net effect of technological development is used to improve the special effects. Furthermore, since the newspapers and television news world discovered that the greenhouse effect sold more than wars and famine in Africa have continued to torpedo the rise and fall in sea level and global warming, something that Moreover, much less has been shown as such.

The most interesting part of this film is to verify the behavior depending on the writers would humanity to face the catastrophe. Simply shocking to see how the lies and money are the tools for survival of the human race. As usual all taken from the American point of view, which is not bad it is just that: American.

On the other side and get another positive aspect of 2012, I must say that reflects a history of that surely will face future generations. Since the Earth is Earth have not stopped falling meteors, ice ages have not ceased and to top it off, man has finished adding new variables catastrophic. Scientists long ago discovered that the Sun has an expiration date, his departure will be accompanied by an incredible explosion that at least erase any signs of life on our planet, so it is not so farfetched to start thinking about building ships (the style Noah's Ark) to escape to another beautiful paradise in which to further exploit resources unsustainably (note here a slight irony).

Armageddon, Volcano, The Day After Tomorrow, Deep Impact and the 2012 self among others, are movies you remember two things: that the natural disaster movies always have that morbid fascination that destroys the sand castle just to see how something so small is big something so small, and scientific ignorance that boast such films is not only a reflection of institutionalized ignorance throughout the world and the general disinterest of the people to meet our own home, Earth.

A greeting.
