Ahora que se ha puesto de moda el juego MEME de escenas para recordar, habrá una escena de la vida real que nunca podré olvidar: la del 11-S con las Torre Gemelas desplomándose y consumiéndose en las llamas. Aquel día quedará grabado seguramente en la historia de la humanidad durante siglos y yo no recuerdo otro suceso parecido que me dejará con esa sensación tan amarga de estar viviendo una pesadilla. He visto películas sobre desastres naturales como 2012 con esas escenas apocalípticas, pero nada podrá compararse nunca a las imágenes que observé aquel día, ni siquiera la reciente devastación de las costa oriental de Japón por el Tsunami del 11-M.
El documental 102 minutos... es muy duro, a veces demasiado, pero es imprescindible su visionado. Yo de hecho me resistía a verlo por la frustración y el desánimo tan grande que produce el ver lo que pasa y saber que no hay remedio, saber que va a morir tanta gente por razones tan estúpidas, es simplemente desolador. Tanto es así que todavía tengo pendientes de ver las películas sobre la masacre: World Trade Center y United 93. Por eso quiero avisar que las imágenes que muestra este documental presentan ese grado de desolación del que hablo.
Es difícil valorar el documental como creación original, puesto que se basa en las filmaciones al minuto de los acontecimientos acaecidos en 2001 desde diferentes perspectivas, todas muy duras de ver. La idea y la manera en la que se va narrando lo ocurrido son excelentes, con un montaje muy bueno y una selección de imágenes (de videoaficionados) que permiten ir siguiendo la historia como toca, y que va haciendo que cada vez más vayamos ganando en atención e incredulidad. Lo más espectacular no son las imágenes en sí, sino la reacción de la gente, una reacción que se transmite al espectador provocando una angustia muy similar a la que debieron sentir los propios neoyorquinos.
Esta semana pasada supimos que los SEAL norteamericanos habían conseguido dar caza y asesinar al principal responsable de los atentados, el tristemente famoso Osama Bin Laden. Hoy seguimos con la certeza de que nada ha cambiado, aunque quizás se sienta cierto alivio por su muerte lo cierto es que Al Qaeda sigue viva y supuestamente más activa que nunca como lo demuestran los recientes atentados en Marruecos. Este documental nos puede servir para reflexionar sobre la deriva estratégico política tras el 11-S y de las repercusiones estratégico políticas que tuvo, no obstante considero que 102 minutos... tiene que ser considerada como una obra póstuma de las víctimas que nos recuerdan que tanto los que murieron como los que mataron eran de la misma especie.

Now that it has become fashionable game of MEME scenes to remember, there will be a real life scene that I shall never forget: the 11-S with the Twin Towers collapsed and consumed in the flames. That day will surely remain etched in the history of mankind for centuries and I do not recall a similar event that will leave me feeling so bitter with living a nightmare. I've seen movies about natural disasters such as 2012 with apocalyptic scenes, but nothing can never compare to the images I saw that day, even the recent devastation of the eastern coast of Japan by the Tsunami of 11-M.
The documentary 102 minutes ... is very hard, sometimes too much, but it is essential viewing. I actually refused to see me in frustration and despair so great that occurs to see what happens and know that there is no remedy, knowing he will die for reasons so many people so stupid, it's just devastating. The most spectacular are not the images themselves, but people's reaction, a reaction that is transmitted to the viewer causing distress very similar to what New Yorkers must have felt themselves.
This past week we learned that the Americans had succeeded SEAL hunt down and kill the primary responsibility for the attacks, the infamous Osama bin Laden. Today we continue with the certainty that nothing has changed, though you might feel some relief at his death the truth is that Al Qaeda is still alive and supposedly more active than ever as evidenced by the recent attacks in Morocco. This film can help us think about strategic drift policy after the 11-S and the policies that had strategic implications, however I think that 102 minutes ... must be regarded as a posthumous work of victims remind us that both those who died and those killed were from the same species.
