Apocalypto puede transmitir varios mensajes, para un servidor el principal es que no importa de donde vengamos y a donde iremos, ni importa la raza o la cultura para impartir el bien o el mal, para crear o destruir, para enamorarse y odiar. En estos días que está de moda criticar, incluso demonizar ciertos países, vale la pena mirarse el ombligo, analizar nuestra historia para darse cuenta que aquella frase de Jesucristo frente a los que pretendían apedrear a María Magdalena no deja de cobrar sentido, es atemporal.
Apocalypto es pura tensión llevada al límite, es rabia y venganza, es amor y odio...pero sobre todo es un canto a la introspección humana descrita de manera cruelmente bella, con escenas que estremecen, que permiten abrir todos los poros de tu piel, conectar todas las sinapsis nerviosas y aupar al espectador al cielo tras haber recorrido un infierno muy particular, el infierno de Mel.
