"Alien resurrección _ Alien resurrection (1997)" COLORÍN COLORADO ESTE ALIEN SE HA ACABADO

Me considero un seguidor del trabajo de Joss Whedon (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, etc), como lo demuestran las críticas en este blog. Pues tengo que reconocer que desconocía por completo que Whedon fuera el guionista de esta cuarta y última entrega de Alien (aunque después aparecieran los Predator versus, de los que por cierto no he catado fotograma alguno). La Resurreción de Alien es también un digno broche final para la una de las sagas más famosas del cine de la segunta mitad del siglo XX. De la base de un guión bastante bueno y la recuperación de una filmación de escenarios espaciales excelentes, Jeunet (Amelie) nos ofrece una película con bastantes aspectos en común con las dos primeras partes de Scott y Cameron que destacan sobremanera. 

En esta última entrega Sigourney Weaver esta muy bien, al nivel de las primeras, y esta acompañada de un reparto de secundarios más que aceptable en el que destacaría a Ron Perlman (nuestro actual y adorable Hellboy) y un poco por debajo a Winona Ryder, que lo hace bien pero descuadra un poco verla en en este tipo de ambiente tan rudo y de tanta acción. Como digo la historia es muy interesante y plantea un nuevo juego en el que Ripley se convierte en en las dos caras de un misma moneda, siendo medio Alien medio humana es bonita la batalla que se fragua por ver que especie predomina en su carácter. 

Con esta película pongo punto y final a las críticas de la saga y ya que estamos aprovecho para contar que esta fue realmente la primera que vi. Antes de empezar a ver la saga como toca, desde la primera, recuerdo que en 1998, en las Doce horas de Terror que organizaban los Multicines Chaplin de Palma (hoy extintos) visioné esta joyita porque el resto era bastante basurilla como The Relic, La lengua Asesina y un largo etcétera; se trataba más de quedar con los amigos y divertirnos viendo pelis de "terror" que no de ver los grandes clásicos del género. Aún habiendo visto primero la cuarta tengo que decir que he disfrutado mucho con el visionado de toda la saga, de hecho no recordaba a la perfección Resurrección así que casi fue como verla de nuevo. 

Como despedida de la saga vale decir que en general es buena teniendo en cuenta que es dificil mantener un interés elevado. Considero que en general el personaje de Ripley es el que dota de calidad a la saga, más que el propio Alien de le da título. La saga presenta una primera parte muy buena y una segunda irregular donde la tercera es omitible al casi al 100%. Con Alien se demuestra que se pueden hacer películas de terror espacial con criaturas a un nivel muy bueno y al alcande del disfrute de todos los públicos.

A FITTING FINALE.

I consider myself a follower of the work of Joss Whedon (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, etc.), as evidenced by reviews in this blog. Well I have to admit that is completely unaware that Whedon was the writer of this fourth and final installment of Alien (although after the Predator versus appeared, of which I have certainly not tasted any frame). Alien Resurrection is also a worthy conclusion to one of the most popular film sagas of the twentieth century segunta. The basis of a pretty good script and the recovery of a great space scenes footage, Jeunet (Amelie) provides a film with many aspects in common with the first two parts of Scott and Cameron was outstanding.

In this latest installment Sigourney Weaver is very good, the level of the first, and is accompanied by a supporting cast more than acceptable to highlight Ron Perlman (Hellboy our current and adorable) and slightly below Winona Ryder but it does well out of position a little to see in this type of environment so rude and so much action.As I say the story is very interesting and presents a new game in which Ripley becomes the two sides of a coin, being half human, half Alien is pretty forge the battle to see which species predominates in his character.

With this film, put an end to criticism of the series and as we take this opportunity to mention that this was really the first I saw. Before you begin to see the saga as it touches, from the first, remember that in 1998, in the Twelve Hours of Terror who organized Multicines Palma Chaplin (now extinct) view this gem because the rest was pretty basurilla as The Relic, The Killer language and so on, it was more of being with friends and have fun watching movies of "terror" not to see the great classics of the genre. Even having seen first quarter I have to say I really enjoyed viewing the entire saga, in fact he did not remember perfectly well that Easter was almost like seeing it again.

As a farewell to the saga that is to say that in general is good considering that it is difficult to maintain a high interest. I believe that in general the character of Ripley is the quality that gives the series, but the Alien itself gives title. The saga has a first half performance and a second irregular where the third is omitted when almost 100%.With Alien shows that they can make space horror movie creatures to a very good and the Alcanda the enjoyment of everyone.

"BUFFY (1997)" BUFFY CAZASUSPIROS

En esta época, en la que los vampiros han salido definitivamente del armario (o del ataud según se mire) y los potenciales consumidores de este género han aumentado exponencialmente, se debe volver la vista atrás y recordar cómo en los inicios del cine o producto televisivo vampírico la calidad estética y literaria era tanto o más buena que la actual. De hecho, yo diría que con el aumento de la oferta la calidad ha disminuido, y si antes tales productos pasaban por un filtro más exigente, en la actualidad existen series y películas de pésima factura en lo referente a lo más esencial, esto es, intentan innovar y acaban produciendo cintas que se parecen a cualquier cosa menos a lo que deberían (véase la famosa saga Crepúsculo).

Los cazadores de vampiros fueron un prototipo clásico hasta que irrumpió nuestra querida Buffy, una chica de aspecto angelical y completamente ignorante sobre el destino que le espera. Todo lo contrario de lo que hasta ese momento habíamos visto: cazadores tirando a cincuentones con sobrada experiencia en la materia y en ocasiones dispuestos a acabar con el demonio encarnado vampiro tan sólo por venganza.

Recuerdo el día que vi por primera vez un capítulo, fue muy parecido a lo que me ocurrió con Abierto Hasta el Amanecer donde todo parece normal incluso a veces aburrido, y de repente, aparecen esas bestias demoníacas para sobresaltarnos y abrir nuestros ojos como platos. Buffy fue y sigue siendo un referente en lo que a series de entretenimiento se refiere, pues aún siendo específicamente sobre vampiros y demonios no renuncia al humor y al sarcasmo, pero sobre todo, ni mucho menos se vuelve redundante ni se pierde el interés.

En este sentido hay que destacar el séptimo episodio de la sexta temporada, un episodio completamente musical en el que sorprende la calidad coreográfica y lírica además de la interpretación de algunos de sus protagonistas como el caso de Giles (Anthony Stewart Head) o el de Tara (Amber Benson).

Como pasa en muchas series, el peso de los personajes es fundamental para entender su éxito. Un éxito, que se constata con el spin off del personaje Angel (fundamental en los primeros y últimos compases de la serie) y en que tras su sorprendente cancelación televisiva ahora sigue cosechando una gran popularidad en versión cómic con una continuación a la altura.

Buffy siempre estará en los corazones de los vampirófilos por haber ofrecido y seguir ofreciendo esa dosis de vampiros semanal o mensual que tanto anhelaban los mismos. Una serie con calidad en todos sus apartados y que podremos revivir una y otra vez como si de un ser inmortal se refiere.

A success, which is apparent with the spin off of the character Angel (instrumental in the early and late stages of the series) and that after his surprising cancellation television now is reaping a popular comic book version of a sequel to the height.

" ANGEL (1999)" Un Vampiro para dominar en el Apocalipsis

Hemos visto en muchas ocasiones héroes que surgían de la oscuridad más impenetrable, de las experiencias más indeseables, o de puras aberraciones y atrocidades del destino. Angelus, el vampiro con más mala uva de la factoría Whedon no fue una excepción. Angel es el paradigma del vampiro bonachón, una criatura de la noche provista de remordimientos y empeñada en expiar todas sus malas acciones pasadas a base de ayudar a los débiles haciendo, sobre todo, una sangría de los que antaño fueron sus fieles vasallos. Angel representa al héroe oscuro que tantas veces hemos visto, un héroe con dos caras, con múltiples pasados y un futuro que a ciencia cierta por lo menos va a a ser apocalíptico.

La capacidad de Whedon para el acierto absoluto con la saga vampírica Angel & Buffy o Buffy &Angel (tanto monta...) es de admirar. Tiene mucho mérito el hecho de ir enlazando las dos series e ir encajando en cada historia las correspondientes líneas temporales sin que el espectador acabe aturdido o desorientado. Angel es puro entretenimiento al más puro estilo Buffy pero además incluye ese misterio y punto extra de oscuridad y tenebrismo que para el gusto de servidor ya hacía falta. Angel aporta madurez en sus historias, un mayor grado de perversión y aunque algo menos de humor ni mucho menos se echa de menos.

Los personajes de Angel son como cualquiera de nosotros hubiera sido si viviéramos en un mundo al borde del Apocalipsis semanal, un mundo en constante peligro o simplemente un mundo en el que la magia existiera. Hay series de televisión que sin sus personajes no se explican y ésta es una de ellas. Tenemos un personaje de cada palo: el demonio cantante-monologuista, el chico duro de barrio bajo reconvertido a cazador de vampiros, la listilla y el listillo (tal para cual), el superficial amor imposible del jefe (Cordelia) que acabará siendo engullida por su propia avaricia, compañeros de fatigas que se fueron pero que pueden fácilmente volver a aparecer y un sin fin de personajillos que irán aderezando la serie al más puro estilo Whedon.

Creo que Angel es mejor que Buffy pero nunca podría entenderse sin la misma pues de ella surgió. Es mejor porque se permite hacer lo que con Buffy ya era casi imposible: dar un poco más de seriedad al apartado del terror, permitir al espectador pasar miedo de vez en cuando y dar algún que otro botecito en el sillón.

P.D: Aunque la serie acabó con cinco temporadas, afortunadamente continuó en cómic, pues hay que decir que las mejores temporadas de Angel sobrevienen hacia la segunda mitad de la serie. VAMPIRE TO DOMINATE IN THE APOCALYPSE.

We have seen many times heroes who emerged from the impenetrable darkness, of the most undesirable, or pure aberrations and atrocities of the destination. Angelus, the vampire with more bad grape Whedon factory was no exception. Angel is the epitome of good-hearted vampire, a creature of the night provided with remorse and committed to atone for all his past wrongdoings based on doing to help the weak, especially, a drain on the countries that once were his loyal subjects. Angel represents the dark hero many times have we seen a hero with two faces, with many past and a future for sure at least gonna to be apocalyptic.
Whedon capacity for absolute success with the vampire saga Angel & Buffy or Buffy & Angel is admirable. Has much merit as it works to tying the two series and go each story fitting into the corresponding timelines without the viewer dazed or disoriented end. Angel is pure entertainment in the style of Buffy but also includes extra point that mystery and dark and gloomy like that for the server as needed. Angel brings maturity in his stories, a greater degree of perversion and although somewhat less far humor is missing.
Angel's characters are like any of us would be if we lived in a world on the brink of the Apocalypse Weekly, a world in constant danger, or simply a world where magic exists. There are television series without its characters are not explained and this is one of them. We have a character in each suit: the devil singer-monologist, tough guy slum-turned-vampire hunter, the hotshot and the smartass (tit for tat), the impossible love of the head surface (Cordelia) will end up being swallowed by their own greed, fellow-sufferers who left but that can easily come back and endless are people that will ready the series with Whedon style.
I think Angel is better than Buffy but I could never be without it as it came. Is better because you can do with Buffy it was almost impossible to give a little more seriously paragraph of terror, allowing the viewer to be scared from time to time and give the odd little boat on the couch.

"Serenity (2005)" El Whedon cinematógrafo no defrauda.

                        

Quién le iba a decir a uno que Joss Whedon, alias "todo lo que hago en la tele se convierte en oro", haría una película tan entretenida y con tanta solidez como esta calificada por la crítica especializada como western galáctico. Un argumento bien estructurado, unos personajes con profundidad y una estética muy acertada, hacen de Serenity un buen producto para todos los públicos. Que nadie se espere una Buffy espacial, y si muy posiblemente, una secuela.
